Profitable Programmer Course Review

I’ll give my two cents on the Profitable Programmer Course by Rafeh Qazi. This article is neither a sponsored article nor an affiliate post. I want to say my honest thoughts about this course so that it could help someone who is looking to take the course.

Profitable Programmer is a full-stack web development course created by Rafeh Qazi, the founder of Clever Programmer. I’ll tell you about my experience with this course from the start. This story happened in 2016. I was starting with learning Python during that time.

I saw some Clever Programmer videos on YouTube, and I got interested in the way Qazi teaches. He has a lot of passion and energy while talking. He didn’t bore me like the computer science teachers in my college did (not everyone). So, I binge-watched all of his YouTube videos and learned Python pretty well. That was the time when he brought the profitable programmer masterclass for the first time.

Profitable programmer masterclass is a free 3-part video series that will give you a general idea about freelancing with Python. I really enjoyed that masterclass, and later, he conducted a live webinar to launch his product(Profitable Programmer Course).

I was very eager to buy that course, and I eagerly watched the whole product launch. But, I was very disappointed after the launch, because of the price of the course. It was 497 USD, and it was a huge amount for me, especially at that time.

For some of you, it might not be a big deal. But, for me, a jobless student, it was a big deal at that time. So, I didn’t buy that course. Instead, I bought the 50$ Python OOP course from Clever Programmer.

OOP course was one of their first courses. For all those who purchased that course when he launched it for the first time, Qazi gifted the profitable programmer course. Even though I wasn’t one of the first customers of the OOP course, they sent me free access to the profitable programmer course. It was a mistake, and they found it out very soon. They revoked my access at the end of the month.

That was my first look at the profitable programmer course, and honestly, I really liked the content of the course. As the name suggests, this course is for programmers who want to make money by freelancing.

It might not be the best course out there specifically for web development with Django. If you are only looking to improve your Django skills, I won’t recommend this course. It’s not a Django course, it’s a programming course, kind of a complete package.

Qazi divided the course into 16 weeks, and each week, you’ll get a bunch of videos related to a topic. For example, the first week is all about the mindset of programmers. The second week is all about the fundamentals of Python. Then, later on, you’ll learn Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Git, and a whole lot of things.

Oh, the coolest part is that you’ll get a chance to do some amazing projects. If you complete this course, you’ll at least have a portfolio of projects to show your clients. Talking about the portfolio, he’ll teach you to create one in one of the modules. My favorite part is the Profit with Python module, where he teaches the basics of freelancing. That’s the valuable part of this course for me since I already knew other technologies that he teaches in this course.

But for a beginner, it is a great course, a great package of all the things needed to become a freelancer. After looking at the content, I could say that there is value inside the course. 497$ is still worrying me. It is expensive. But if you have the money to invest, go for it. If you are frugal, don’t take the course. Consume everything there on the web for free.

One of the most precious modules in this course is the Profitable Programmer vault. This module consists of hours of interviews with great software developers and successful entrepreneurs. It is really a great package of value. You’ll get a community as well, a Facebook group, to communicate with other programmers in the course.

This course is not always open for enrollment. Qazi launches this course only once or twice a year. If you’re looking to buy this course, I would suggest you follow his channel. During the first few days of the launch, or on some random days, Qazi might give a 100$ off. If you are lucky, you can save some bucks.

Overall, I think this course is a great beginning for aspiring web developers and freelancers. I can promise at least one thing. You won’t get bored with this course. Qazi is really a fun guy, and he’s pretty good at teaching. So, if you have some money to invest in your career, enroll in this amazing course, and you’ll enjoy it. Even if you didn’t like it, you can ask for your money back and you’ll get all the money. There’s a money-back guarantee, so there’s nothing to lose.

If you’re interested, go to the clever programmer website to see more details about this course. Again, this is not a sponsored post. This is just my thoughts on one of the premium courses available on the Internet for Pythonistas.

If you don’t have the money, no worries. You’ll get all this information for free on the Internet. But, you might need to invest some time to filter the right information in the best order. That’s what you get with paid courses.

If you’re not sure about spending 497 dollars on this course, I would suggest you check out the article I’ve written on the Best Udemy Courses To Learn Python. You can find extremely cheap but high-quality Python courses there.

If you can put in the effort to find out the right information that you need, you won’t need any courses. Almost every technology in the world has some official documentation. It’s tough. It’s a bit geeky. If you’re a geek enough to follow those, then you can succeed without the help of any courses.

Everything is there on the internet for free, but for most people, it’s overwhelming. If you can invest some money in courses like these, you can avoid the bad information and consume only what you want in the right order in an easy way.

If you already have experience with this course, feel free to add your thoughts in the comments section. That might help other people to know more about the course.

Thanks for reading. Happy coding!

  1. Clever Programmer refuses to give me a refund. I purchased his course and after 2 hours found out I didn’t like the content nor was it what it was “touted” to be. I asked for a refund and was told that I have to go through the entire course, to document that I have finished all programming exercises, so I can prove I did them all, to prove that I have used every Strategy and technique. Then I can ask for a refund.

If Clever Programmer were transparent with me and told me this prior to purchase I never would have purchased. Let me ask you, reader, do you think any company should do this? Keep your money even though you don’t want the product. I mean let’s think about this. they have recorded videos that you watch. You are the one who learns from this. this is not something that is custom made like a website, this is allowing me to watch some videos to learn how to program. But this company chooses to keep my money and refuses to communicate with me.

Choose what kind of companies you do business with. Some are very good and some are very, very bad. The decision is up to you.

    1. What didnt you like exactly? I mean there is a detailed list of exactly what is in the program? And they do say, go through the program, show us that you’ve done the work, then we’ll give you a refund, 60 days policy.

      1. If you consider 2 hours of this and 2 hours of that to be detailed. Even on Udemy you are going to get at least a preview video or snippet and more detail.

I feel like he is just a good marketer, but really doesn’t offer much. 30 hours of video material is nothing for what he is charging.

I have paid $11 for hundreds of hours of video instruction with hundreds of exercises on Udemy, so honestly, paying $400 for a 30 hour course is just obscene to me unless it is from an elite University.

        1. I agree with you, I was stuck in same trap by paying 160 first installments, then I realized I will lucky, scape from the marketing trap. I would suggest you can find a much better course in udemy at just £40. Be careful guys from Bazar Nazar and others.

  2. Bro I have attended the Profitable Programmer 2.0 Masterclass. I had recorded these videos to watch them offline later. I can sell these video courses to you for 1/4th the cost of the actual price. Obviously I cannot give them for free because I too paid for it but will be happy to sell it a lower price.

  3. Is the course worth it anymore cuz most of the mentioned course syllabus like python django html css and javascript are available on his yt channel for free

    1. Yes, most of the stuff is available online for free. Just like I mentioned in the article, go for the course only if you think you need a structured course and commitment to learning these technologies. If you can find the required information from the internet by yourself, you won’t need this course. The main focus of the course is on getting freelance clients. So you need to find some good alternative resources for that too if you wanna become a successful freelancer.
